Buying safely
Never pay a seller directly. If someone asks you to transfer to their own account, pay “outside the app to save fees” or pay on delivery, stop. We can only protect money paid inside NoWahala.
Buy-safely links
Sellers on WhatsApp, Instagram or TikTok can send you a NoWahala link for an item. Paying through that link gives you the same protection as buying on the site: the item is sealed at a hub and you check it before the seller is paid. If a seller won’t use a NoWahala link, ask yourself why.
Paying
You pay by bank transfer to a one-time account shown on your order. The account name is Paystack’s, our payment provider, not a person’s. Transfer the exact amount shown.
At the hub
- Check the seal number matches the one in your app before the bag is opened.
- Go through every item on the checklist. For phones: it turns on, isn’t locked to an account, and the IMEI matches.
- Something wrong? Record a short video in the app before you leave. Don’t take the item.
- Only tap Received when you’re happy. That pays the seller, and it’s final.
In chat
Phone numbers and account details are hidden in chat to keep deals on NoWahala. If someone keeps pushing you to talk or pay elsewhere, report the chat.
